Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 8 October 2026
CourseCompass Education Limited wants Career Guidance Donegal to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities, and we've aimed to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) in how it's built.
1. What we've done
- Every image on the site has a written description (alt text) for screen readers.
- The page language is correctly marked as Irish English, and headings follow a logical order.
- The checkout form has a proper label associated with its email field, and can be completed using only a keyboard.
- The layout is responsive, so it reflows for mobile screens and supports browser zoom without breaking.
- Text and background colours are chosen for reasonable contrast throughout the site.
2. What we haven't done yet
We haven't commissioned a full third-party WCAG audit of the site. If you come across a part of the site that doesn't work well with a screen reader, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology, we'd genuinely like to know — see Section 4.
3. Legal context
The European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882) sets mandatory accessibility requirements for many online services, including e-commerce, but exempts microenterprises — those with fewer than 10 staff and either turnover or balance sheet under €2 million — from most of its obligations. As a small, early-stage company, CourseCompass is likely to fall under that exemption today. We're publishing this statement as a voluntary commitment regardless, and we'll keep it under review as the company grows.
4. Reporting a problem
If you hit an accessibility barrier anywhere on careerguidancedonegal.ie, email info@coursecompass.ie with what you were trying to do and what happened. We'll do our best to fix genuine barriers and get back to you.
